I am feeling quite inspired and fresh minded by what i've seen on the catwalks thus far. Even though it hasn't strayed too far from what we've seen this winter (think pinks, reds,oranges, brights, monochrome prints, white, suiting, interest shirting, clean lines), I am still getting excited for the design season ahead.

Day three of spring in Australia and I've finally managed to find some time to create a herb and vege box. Its a little hard to grow my herbs when I live in an apartment with no balcony so this little wooden crete is the best way to make the most of mother earths goodness. I don't understand why more people don't grow their own greens especially as its beneficial for health and easy on the pocket!

A little cute coffee spot I came across this morning on Riley Street in Surry Hills.
Such a nice way to begin the morning... Great interior covered in animated Robot graphics, plastic robot figurines, fixed wheel bikes, framed pictures, raw wood finishes... Cant help but walk away inspired and smiling :)

Last sunny Saturday I made my way along Crown st in Surry Hills toward the Surry Hills markets - on the first saturdee of the month -
I landed myself some goodies- Lots of vintage dresses, some coral red havianas that have been discontinued for a while now but I LOVE the colour... Some designer pieces for dirt cheap and some lovely coffee and eats :)
You should definatly check it out!

The most beautiful crisp winter saturday morning for a soy latte & sanoma toast... then onto cruise the bondi farmers markets.. Filled with fresh clean goodies, organic veges and cute little families.. Oh, not to forget about the vegan treats and the fresh flowers!
I highly advise you pay a visit! Saturday mornings 10am-1pm.
On another note, I spent last night wining & dining at Billy Kwong with a special friend of mine, Kinae... It was so so amazing. The food was to-die-for and the service was beyond memorable! 5 stars for Billy K!

Having a wonderful time in Newyork! I love Soho.. such an eclectic mix of people and eateries... from Aussie cafe Ruby to NY local ground control... Nothing like getting your daily serving of weetbix or your classic NY bagel :)
So many shops, so little time.. Williamsburg vintage goes down a treat and a visit to the NY design creative hub- Dumbo- a must. Beware- topshop is more exp to buy in the US than it is to buy in the UK... I learnt that post purchases.. ha.

Inspiration is everywhere we look. Some aspect may flow through to a completely different aspect of your mind without even having to think about it. Take this interior design. It has many references to fashion and textile design... From fabric prints taken off the art deco tiling to placement prints inspired by the artworks. And maybe something really beautifully natural such as being inspired by the colours of the plants and foods that are around us everyday.
In this case, I am getting inspired by Eileen and Mark>> The Selby.

The selby is somewhere I stop by quite often. When my design brain isnt working it just helps me to be inspired by all the other amazing people out there that appreciate the homes and spaces they live in.
